Reflective Essay
When people describe me as who I am, they would probably say that I am responsible and selfless. When I am at school, I try to finish at least all of my assignments before they are done, even the assignments that are a week from today. I get myself out of bed without having anyone trying to get me up, I make my own breakfast, I take out the trash and do the dishes because I see myself being responsible for not only helping myself, but helping others as well, those being my friends and family.
When someone is having trouble, I would do my best to help them with what problems that they are facing. One time in my highschool algebra class, a friend of mine that sat next to me was having trouble with the class assignments that we were doing in class, he didn’t know how to solve certain algebra problems so I decided to help him by going over what we learned step by step. I see myself as a person who is not only responsible for his own actions, but also responsible for helping my friends if they needed help.
I am very smart in my clases, my grades in History and algebra shows that I am doing very well. I understand a lot of things that were taught in my highschool and Algebra 1 class, I am a history buff wiched helped my grades in both U.S and World history. I also paid attention very closely in my Algebra class, almost every test that I did I got an A+. I acquired some skills when I was at school. When at school and doing my work, I may have a problem with the work that I am doing, sometimes, when I don’t understand what we are doing in class, I ask the teacher for help or have a tutor to teach me how to find a pattern with the work that I am doing. An example would be math, I use a technique which is trying to find a pattern with the work that I am doing (IXL assignments and math problems) and use those patterns to figure out stuff. I am also passionate about what I am learning, such as history and math, and because I am passionate about what I am learning in school, I do everything I can to understand what we are learning and get good grades on homework assignments and tests.
When at school and doing work projects, I have gained skills when working with my classmates. When doing a school project, I usually help my classmates if I have finished my part of the project, I always do my part of the work and if me or someone else doesn't see eye to eye on what we should do, I mostly negotiate with them to meet a middle ground. I always do my work without question, and suggest other classmates in my groups new ideas about how we should do the assignment. Part of doing homework is learning to use a computer, and durning the distance learning/coronavirus lockdown, learning to use technology in order to finish up assignments is extremely important for school. I have learned two things, one; how to use technology for daily tasks, and two; understand the technology you are using. During distance learning, I have learned how to use the technology for school, that technology is zoom. At first I had some trouble using zoom, I had a bunch of classes that I needed to go to, and in doing so I needed to find the links for my zoom clases in order to join. So what I did was take the links and put them on a google doc as well as my class names for those links, because of this, I have understood how to use zoom for my classes.
